Beware

When I heard that all my siblings would be coming for our family reunion, I decided I better clean the house. So the bathroom comes first. Here is the only vacuum that I have that the hose part works. The main vacuum if the motor is running and you disconnect the hose than it blows the dirt out into the air.  I also have a battery vacuum which does't have a hose. Evidently these manufactures have never used a vacuum.

So I started sweeping the edges of the carpet. I know that we should replace the carpet with vinyl but that will have to wait. This is the warning: don't get the hose too close to the toilet paper holder or that suction will unroll that paper fast until you grab a chunk and tear it. See the picture above. I guess I could have shut the power off but when in emergency mode you just don't have time to think. I guess that is why you should have practice runs so everybody knows what to do.
