This is Lost Maples Natural Area. It has limited camping but really nice walking trails. If you want the long one it's about 5 miles long. It is rough walking at certain points but really pretty. They call it Lost Maples because the ice age pushed Maple seeds here and they were able to survive because of the canyon walls keeps it a bit cooler and lots of water. Texas is usually too hot and dry for Maples to live. So if you want to see fall color here is the place if you live around here. But not quite yet.
