First Snow

This is our first snow. The cats can't figure out what it is. It is not just the first snow of the season but their first snow ever.  Today it is sunny and bright but yesterday was slippery and snowing hard. Joe drove a friend to the airport in Chicago yesterday and the flight was canceled.  Today everyone is going out to make snowmen. It is the perfect weather for it.

If one day is bad just wait and a nice day is right around the corner.

What would you take if stranded on a desert island?

People now use a spellchecker on the computer but I still like the real thing around, a dictionary. Sometimes you have to resort to a dictionary if the computer doesn't know a word. Plus it might be handy if the electricity goes out. No batteries needed.

If I were stranded on a desert island I'd take the dictionary cause I'd want to spell 'Help' right in the sand.

I'd take more than that but if you notice I didn't limit what I'd take.
