Surprise

It's my birthday and I'll be surprising them! What they planned got a little bit of a rough start. Everyone (this is my sisters and hubbies) were to be in the RV and Joe would bring me out  because he wanted to take me for a 'ride'.   What was supposed to happen was I was to get in the RV and everyone would yell surprise.  What actually happened was I got in the RV and no one was there, it was Joe who was surprised.    I suspected something was up but thought we were going to the lake. So instead of being last to get in the RV, I was first. One by one the sisters and hubbies climbed into the RV. When Joe invited them he texted a note that was not real clear when everyone was expected to show up.  Joy circled the block a couple times before pulling into yard. And you know how big the block is at our place. She climbed in and said, What happened to the surprise?" That's when I popped out and yelled, "Surprise!" So the surprise was still there, just not like planned. We went on down to Honkers and had lunch. After lunch we came home and had cake that Joe baked and ice cream. It was a perfect birthday even if that adds another year on the old age count and perhaps a pound heavier.

There is a saying that a lady never tells her age. Good thing I'm not a lady but in this case I won't tell anyway because I think the saying really is, "A lady never tells her age or weight."

P.S. This is my Harpo Marx face.

Cont. from yesterdays post: All's well that ends well.

Joe's motivation kicked in when he realized we didn't have a toilet.  Ta Da! We now have flush toilet.

Bathrooms

This is the new toilet waiting to be installed in the bathroom off the kitchen.

Joe has been working on the hall bath. It was looking good. So I had the first shower. Joe asked how it was and I said the draining was a little slow. So he got the draino out and put some down. The next day he asked again how it was and I replied that it drained like it had a hole down somewhere. He ran down to the basement and sure enough it had a hole depositing the water into the crawlspace. Joe couldn't make himself climb back in the crawlspace so he called a plummer to come out next week. Back to using the bath off the kitchen. This morning Joe was in the basement trying to decide how to cut up the old oil tank when I flushed the toilet and the water came splashing down to the oil tank. So this is his solution. New toilet.  If he has trouble we still have a plummer coming out next week. Both baths won't have a toilet though. There isn't a toilet in the hall bath because Joe has to put the walls around up and he can't do that till the drain in the tub is fixed. Well if all else fails we can go out to use the bath in the camper.
